From identifying and locating easements to understanding more about eminent domain law, professionals can learn about the complicated ins and outs of these issues during a live, interactive Jan. 12 online seminar.
Titled “South Carolina Easements, Rights-of-Way, and Eminent Domain,” the webinar is organized by HalfMoon Education.
Lewis Babcock eminent domain attorney David Paavola will present alongside other professionals during the day-long virtual program. He’ll talk about eminent domain law, including its history and an overview of different types of “takings.” He’ll also discuss the condemnation process, including hearings and appeals. This will include the process when utilities or other quasi-public uses are involved.
Attorneys, surveyors, and engineers who participate can earn continuing education credit. Go here to register: https://halfmoonseminars.org/
